Community Use of Property
The Pittsboro Professional Building sits at the center of town life, and from time to time the community makes use of the property for events, parking, and access to nearby facilities. This page outlines how the space may be used safely and respectfully.
Event & Overflow Parking
- General Parking: Parking is reserved for tenants and clients/patients of the Pittsboro Professional Building.
- School events: Families may use the lot for overflow parking during concerts, programs, and events.
- Independence Day: The lot is available for parade parking and other additional celebration activities.
- National Night Out: The community is welcome to use the lot for additional parking to access Scamahorn Park.
- Town Hall: Visitors may park here and walk across the street for utility related business, meetings, or civic events.
Accessibility & Entrances
- Accessible Entrances: Both the front and rear entrances are equipped with ramps and ADA compliant doors.
- Primary Public Entrance: Visitors should use the front entrance for all routine access.
- Rear Entrance: The rear entrance opens directly into the main hallway and may expose private health information. For this reason, it remains locked during normal hours.
- Assistance for Limited Mobility: If a visitor cannot safely walk the additional distance from the parking lot to the front entrance (approximately 100 feet), building staff can unlock the rear door and provide an escort. Please call ahead to arrange assistance.
- Deliveries: Please use the front entrance for packages during business hours. Leave packages at the back door after hours.
Safety & Property Conduct
- Respectful use: The parking lot is for legitimate community and tenant use only.
- Independence Day Parade: The restroom is open to the public on a year to year basis based on staffing.
- Fireworks: The use of fireworks are not permitted on the property.
- The building and property are monitored and unlawful activity is not permitted.
